MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE: In charge of keeping track of who is a member, who owes money for membership, which members want an electronic copy of the newsletter, and which want a paper copy.

PROGRAM COMMITTEE: In charge of deciding who speaks at the monthly meetings.

SHOW COMMITTEE: In charge of getting things together for February Mineral Show at the New York State Museum in Albany

FIELD TRIP COMMITTEE: Meets early on to determine the list of field trips for the year. Contains a large number of actual field trip leaders.

AUCTION/ RAFFLE COMMITTEE: In charge of monthly raffle for meetings and making sure the Auctions at the dinner run smoothly and not chaotic.

BANQUET COMMITTEE: In charge choosing the menu and location for June and December Banquets.

SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE: In charge of choosing who gets the scholarship within the guidelines set up by the Board of Directors of the club.

LIBRARY COMMITTEE: In charge of the organizing, keeping track of, and ordering new library books.

AUDITING COMMITTEE: In charge of a once a year auditing of the club books (or more if necessary).

EXPLORATORY COMMITTEE: In charge of searching through old books, internet, etc. in for new and exciting rock trips. Then explorers will explore the site to make sure it is worthly of the club. Then new sites will be added to the trips for the year as permission is granted to us.

NEWSLETTER COMMITTEE: In charge of writing articles for the newsletter, putting it all together, folding, photocopies, putting on labels (provided by membership committee), and adding stamps. All under a deadline of before the 24th of each month.

BBQ COMMITTEE: In charge of setting up BBQ at a local park to have a rock swap with members of our club and other local clubs.

T-SHIRT COMMITTEE: In charge of designing and producing a T-shirt for the membership to buy individually at cost. There shall be no profit to committee members. They shall figure out a way to do so.
